Executive Function Advising (EFA)

 


Executive Function Advising (EFA) is a fee-based program that provides individualized, collaborative support for students with diagnosed disabilities that impact their executive function (e.g., time management, organization, prioritization, planning, etc.)

Fee: $500 per semester

Applications for Fall 2024 Executive Function Advising are open. Space is limited. Applications will be accepted on a first come first serve basis.

Students accepted into the program will be required to participate in an introductory meeting prior to their first meeting with an EFA advisor.

In weekly meetings the student and an EFA advisor will:

  • Develop a personalized, focused action plan and weekly steps
  • Explore the student's goals and challenges and relevant strategies that support success at Missouri S&T
  • Discussion topics such as academic, organizational, and self-monitoring strategies, campus involvement, planning and priorities, utilizing campus resources, and the transition from high school to college

Students eligible Executive Function Advising must:

  • Be eligible for reasonable accommodations through Student Accessibility and Testing (SAT)
  • Have a documented disability that impacts executive function
